I've read some posts here where in online dating guys 10 years and much older message women a lot. I consider online dating not very representative in real life because it's so impersonal and much easier to ask someone out online than in person.

So do you women get guys much older and close to your father's age flirting or asking you out in person? Please exclude internet dating experiences where it's much easier.

When I was younger and worked as a lifeguard (when I was 17-20 years old) it happened to me all the time. Men in their 30s, 40s, 50s and one that must have been in his 70s hit on me (he just grabbed me by the arm and tried to walk with me while asking if I had "any connections"). It was kind of creepy. When I was 17 and told them I was a minor, they didn't believe me.

But now that I am older, I don't get anywhere near as many flirting men as I used too. Now it's the cougar hunters in their 20s that weird me out (but they are still few and far between)... I prefer men my own age (or close to it maybe 5 years younger to 10 years older).

From my mid-teens until I got a wedding ring, all the time. It was especially creepy when I was a 15 year old kid.

I'm almost exclusively hit on by men 10 years older. There's an occasional young one that approaches but he's usually reallyyyy young.

I have always had older men flirt with me. Older, younger, whatever. All ages.

I am in my mid-40s and it happens every time I am out of the house for an hour.

I seriously thought I would catch a break by this age. Apparently I am going to have to wait until the men my dad's age are all dead.

Blargh, I had that happen to me fairly regularly from the time I was 19, never did do much for me.

It wasn't the specific age itself; as I get older, obviously, guys who are *my age* are still attractive to me. It's more along the lines of: I feel like I'm going out with one of my dad's buddies. Just...gives me chills and not in a good way.

That's just me and obviously it's psychological but I've never been able to pass that hurdle and never plan to.
