That is on my list of places to go before I am to old and arthritic to enjoy it. I am not saying bucket list because that makes me sound like I am going to kick the bucket soon.
No, they just don't want to compete with people's holiday plans. I dunno...they've always done them on the 5th.

Does the whole town leave on the 4th?
There was fireworks along with the Army Gaurd Band. Hit the parade and Fun 4th this a.m., went to a local winery/brewery (won't do that again), came back and took in the fireworks.

No, the whole town doesn't leave on the 4th. I'm not sure why it was started but it's just a tradition that fireworks are always done on the 5th.
How come you won't do the Brewery again?
LOL...well the deck isn't done yet. He's working on the deck boards. We still have to order the balusters but it will be usable space once the boards are all in place and the stairs are back on.
My neighbors go to SC every year and get the good stuff. We get the cheapie crap and fill in while they are setting up the bigguns!

This event they had was not worth the drive. I could have stayed here and accomplished the same thing. Plus they were out of my favorite beer.
