I try not to use the 49 weekly. I have about 6 different times. I usually don't convert my activity points. Not sure accurate the computing of activity points really is. I have my doubts of the active link too.
I don't even really think about losing pounds per se, for me it's more about the mirror and how my clothes fit.
The BMI charts say I should be 165 at the heaviest. When I was in HS I was about 175 and when I look at those pics, I looked like a little skinny guy... so I'm not sure about the actual weight.
I suppose you can use the scale as a target, but the problem is as sixty demonstrates, you sorta became a slave to it.... I think if you're looking marvelous and feel marvelous as Fernando Lamas would say, then it's all good.
Maybe someone could tell me why using the scale would be better... just curious...
Do you guys eat your 49 points? Or do you eat your activity points?
I usually eat at least 10 activity points a week. I try not to go into the 49 weekly anymore because I don't think I will lose if I do that. I haven't been keeping track the last two days but I'm sure I've probably used at least 10 of the 49 this week. I set it so my activity points get used up first.

I think you're better off just using things like the scale, how your clothes fit, BMI charts, etc. as general guidelines. Otherwise, like you said, you become a slave to it. I think I will eventually need to buy a scale for the house so I can monitor myself, but I worry about bringing that monster back into my home life.
BMI charts say I should be 128 at the heaviest, I'm shooting for 118. I know I will probably still have some chub at that point, but I don't know how good I'd look if I went much lower (using the wrist test, I have a medium-large frame). I'm at 125 right now and I have bones and ribs sticking out in certain places.

Ohhh, okay. For some reason I pictured you taller.
I'm 5' 3.5"
I am at the top of my weight range now (medium frame). Actually, no I take that back..those 3lbs I gained pushed me back to "overweight" I'm sure. I'll have to go look at that.
