Ive been working in this office since the beginning of the year, and there is a woman in the other dept. We don't talk much, just explain pleasantries. She's 40ish and engaged, I am 24.

Yesterday, she walked by my office and I'm pretty sure she said "Hi honey" and today she stopped by and asked "so what's MidwestGuy doing this weekend?"

What gives?

Oh good grief - she was being friendly, that's all. Promise.

Just making small talk. Many women call men and other women sweeetie, honey and things like that all the time. And on a Friday, EVERYONE asks what are you doing this weekend, doesn't mean they really care what you are doing, just a way to make the Friday go by faster

Yup, she's friendly. It almost sounds like she might call you "kiddo" next.

This reminds me of the "The cashier asked me how my day went. Is she into me?" threads.

No, she's not into you.

So what you're wondering is: did she, after several months of working for the same business (though not in the same Dept.), suddenly develop a "thing" for you, in spite of being engaged and nearly twice your age?

No. She didn't. But if you don't have a gf, it sounds like now would be a good time to get one. You seem needy.

Ruth has hit the nail on the head - you are indeed "needy", and a bit too self-absorbed too.

I just scanned all your old posts and you are constantly worrying about silly things like "leagues", what people think about your car, what could be going through random women's minds etc...

Get outside of your own head - you need some fresh air
