Same here and when I do, I just watch documentaries or the food network. Because of this, I am totally out of the loop on many media-driven pop culture things.

Bottom line is sex sells and plenty of women would have done the same as Miley if given the chance. Miley's actions, regardless of how vulgar, just paid her bills for the next couple of years.

Now, Thicke isn't blameless here. He could have avoided her and ignored her. But the majority of the blame definitely goes to Miley. Billy Ray probably wants to crawl in a hole and die.

It's nice that the blogger took up the cause and remembered that Robin Thicke also was on stage that night.

However, Robin Thicke didn't make a name for himself as a child star like Miley did.

The biggest pearl-clutchers are the moms who spent $$$ on Hannah Montana stuff for their daughters.

I don't think you've read the article, he stated that both of them should be held responsible but that robin shouldn't be absolved from blame.
held responsible for what? What exactly did Robin Thicke do that was wrong? Did he dress like a freak? Did he act like a freak? Did he embarrass himself? there is nothing wrong with consensually dancing with a 20 year old woman.

Yeah he is. Yanno I loved the song...I know the lyrics suck...and I hate that he was part of that whole Miley fiasco. I never watched her video, or the show, and all this has pretty much ruined the damn song for me.
I wish these people could figure out how to use their God-given talents without standing in the gutter.

J.P., why would you say that? He's been advising her on her career since Day One.

A scenario:
Sometime in July at the home of Billy Ray Cyrus. Present are BRC, Miley, her manager, publicist, agent and mother.

BRC: OK, we need to talk. Miley's career is at a standstill. It's not in the crapper like mine but it's heading there.

Manager: The income from product tie-ins are down, the residuals from Hannah Montana are non-existent and her songs are just ok.

Agent: There's nothing big on the horizon for her.

Publicist: I've been thinking, Bynes and Lohan are getting a lot of mileage out of bat **** crazy. We could do something like that.

BRC: Miley has a good reputation, that seems out there, kind of like day and night. Lohan and Bynes both spiraled for awhile.

Publicist: Yeah. We could go Virgin Goddess.

BRC: No, Taylor Swift has that tied up even with the ex-boyfriend who said she didn't put out enough to suit him. I think he said he wanted it 3 or 4 times a day.

Manager: How about somewhere in the middle? Outrageous behavior but no drugs or psychotic episodes. We can put it out that she's an adult and finding her true identity. Late teen/early 20's wing stretching. Maybe new hair, a couple tatts, some skanky behavior but nothing way out there.

BRC: Miley, what do you think.

Miley: All the cool kids have tattoos. OK.

Mom: Whatever is best for my little girl.

BRC: I think we have a plan.
