I feel for your husband that unfortunately, he just realized he married a loud mouth woman who doesn't know when to keep her mouth shut.
Its quite obvious your insensitivity divulge is not to praise his ability of showing restraint with his ex, but rather its about you, the non-virgin who proudly broke his virginity and couldn't contain the urge to boast about it, just like how you said you "taught him well"!
The problem here is not his virgin history, even if he wasn't a virgin when you met there'll be other things you'll kiss and tell without considerations of other's need for privacy, given that you "still don't think I did anything wrong" speaks alot.
