Because men approach, women get approached. Approaches involve compliments. Compliments feed the ego.

Men get rejected. Rejection beats the ego up. It's pretty simple really.

Online maybe. In my experience, they're more negative in real life. I live in a city where I see so many women walking around in slippers and jammies and appearing to not take care of themselves. I could be wrong but tend to assume they don't think too highly of themselves. The men I see appear a bit more confident (again, in real life not online).

I always laugh at these kinds of threads. Some guys think I'm very attractive, some guys do not. Just as I think some guys are very attractive, and some aren't. It's very subjective. For example, I find nothing remotely appealing about Johnny Depp, yet I know a lot of women think he's good looking.

So, I consider myself average. And no, I don't get hit on in real life. It never happens.
