Amen, brother.

although i have no opinion of what others do with their lives, i can understand it having profound effects on children, definitely need to be a good role model to raise kids, although sperm and eggs dont care about that

Disagree and I suspect that that 80% includes dating relationships, not actual marriage.

Well let us be quite clear. It is other people's bigotry that have a negative affect on children. Since those of us who practice it, you know vs the deceitful back stabbing cheating and stuff of the mono crowd, we hardly feel we are being a bad role model for our kids. My kids have never been explained chapter and verse about our lifestyle. But they have a couple of other people, good people, in their lives from which to draw lessons, with whom to speak about things and get perspectives. It has been nothing but a win for our kids.

While not directly related, it is telling. Since we are speaking about the effect on children of attitudes and lifestyles. I compare the healthy love relationship you disdain with a conversation my son had with his supposed best friend. Upon learning that my son considers himself an atheist, his friend told him, oh then I hate you. I hate atheists. So much for god is love. So much for convention over love.
