Regardless of how people feel about 49's actions....it wouldn't be the same if the roles were reversed. I didn't mean to interrupt the chastising of someone for stupid actions...I know that makes everyone feel better about themselves.
Yes it would.
There was a post about a girl who walked out on a guy because he put ketchup on something she cooked. People called her an idiot also.
It's not about a guy or girl, it's about pathetic behavior in people.

That's the thread I was looking for (whichever one it is)! And there were a few celebrations about that as well, if you'll recall. I agree, it's ugly behavior. But to say it's equal both ways......nope.
Edit: Found the thread. Not as much celebration as I remembered. My apologies. It was still significantly different to how 49's getting treated, but then again, he's coming in here defending himself, which always adds fuel to everyone's fire.

I would treat the op the same way if the genders were reversed. If you think this guy did the right thing - just say so, if that's how you feel.

I don't believe you would. I could very well be wrong, and I think we'll have to just agree to disagree on that.
As for the second part...I'm not sure what would make you think that. I'm just not a fan of hypocrisy. Anybody that thinks they're doing anything helpful by tearing someone (who's obviously inexperienced) a new one is kidding themselves. I think it just serves them better to feel good about themselves.

You can believe whatever you would like to about me but that doesn't make it true. I don't agree or disagree with people based on their gender. There are several female posters that I have laid into as we'll. And if a woman walked out on her date for merely stating that he had a child, I would find that just as reprehensible. In fact, there is a poster here who might do that. I have no respect for people that treat people this way. I think they have a screw loose. I treat people I don't like better than that.

People can be both. But even if you replace "inexperienced" with "*******" in my post, the point still stands.
I think your point stands if you were to put ******* in your original statement.
If he's simply inexperienced then he would deserve to hear it. You're right though, he's just basically a whining, unfriendly and judgmental person. So, I suppose it is kind of useless. What I don't get is why he even posts here?
I'm not going to get into the details of what's ok/what's not ok....obviously everyone is entitled to do what they feel is right and to suffer the consequences (societal or otherwise) afterwards. But the underlined is simply not true; we even had a thread recently that was specifically about it.
Edit: Trying to find the thread. Something like "what would make you walk out on a date"? or something involving dealbreakers?
We didn't even finish dinner. I paid for it and left.
Lol, I would at least had dinner before leaving. Not out of some moral obligation to the woman, but because you already paid for it.
