Not trying to say that there aren't happy families but oftentimes the traditional happy middle class family unit is just an attempt to keep up the facade for neighbors and friends etc. The lady of the house might be popping Xanax and downing it with gin and tonic. The husband is bangin someone on the side and is emotionally absent the kids are in to drugs etc. it goes on behind closed doors. No, a happy family is not too much to ask for and possible dream to achieve but it just makes me wonder how many middle class families at the end of the day really are happy nowadays.

Sad that the OP thinks only of what "the world" can do for him and not what he can do to improve life for people in the world he occupies.

It goes to my theory that a lot of these "foreveralone" guys are narcissists at heart.

Technically, it wouldn't exactly be narcissistic.. narcissists tend to do extravagant things for other people simply to gain attention and have others see how great they are.

I understand what you were trying to say though, and I agree with you.. just wanted to be an ass

Some psychologist claim that US is in the midst of a narcissism epidemic.

I'm not a narcissist. I donate to various causes. I used to volunteer for the sick (and will volunteer again). I'm sorry I am selfish and not like Ghandi. I have a looong way to go before that.

Completely self absorbed bores. How many questions with a zillion great answers do you need before you get it? The very fact they continue asking the same damn thing day after day shows they are simply here for attention, self gratifying behaviour at its worst.

It is my professional opinion that smart people will observe behavior that is not producing results and change that behavior. Even if that means becomming a narrcasist or sociopath if thats what it takes to get the desired results. less intellegent people will keep doing the same thing and expect different results.
