LOL, well, I wear contacts for regular "seeing", I'm using the "readers" or cheaters as you've called them for close up stuff....
The old man glasses, I call them.....
LOL, why don't you tell them about the tantrum you threw when you had to go buy them, and then the irony of not being able to see well enough to cut the plastic tag off, cutting your finger, etc.... (He's okay.)

I can see distance just fine...actually, really well. Close up though, well my arms could be a little longer. I find if you tilt your head back and kind of squint your eyes that helps...LOL

Sheesh Chow...a mild power huh? Yet you couldn't see the plastic tag? LOL
I can't paint my nails without glasses on. I just learned that last weekend. They looked good, until I put my cheaters on

LOL, well, that was the problem. He was holding the glasses in his hand, trying to cut the tag. He couldn't put them on and safely do it.
If I had known he was going to cut himself, I would have done it for him.

LOL, what power did he buy? I use them occasionally, but only when I really need them. I can usually get away with not wearing them. But I can see plastic tags without them

Ohhh, got me there! LOL
I am old, no denying it! Once you hit 40 it's all downhill
But I don't REALLY need them. Just to read the standardized test instructions (I swear they print that stuff sooooo tiny) and to paint my nails, which I usually leave to the professionals
