Adi,

Can your roommate help at all with this subject?

Also, how is your roommates girlfriend doing? Wasn't she attacked and robbed a few weeks ago?

My roommate has very liberal and easygoing parents, whose lifestyle and experiences were very different from my parents (In fact a full 180).

She's fine, just a bit shaken up after the incident. She refuses to walk home alone at night, and calls for an escort now. Usually an off duty female cop shows up to escort women back to their residence.

I'm glad she was not injured or worse and good for her for calling an escort which she will likely do for years to come.

Adi, I did not mean in regards to your roommates parents, I meant in regards to this particular subject, is he knowledgeable in it, has he already taken this class, can he help be a bit of a tutor for you?

He's taking it with me right now, and suffers just as badly.

At least I know what I did wrong, now. There are 3 more exams and HW assignments for me to make up and get a reasonable final grade.

With the initiatives I'm taking to improve, WILL I DO IT ?

I'm doing some night work at a middle school this week and while I was in one of the classrooms, I saw a bunch of writings on the wall, I think it happened to be an English classroom. There were a lot of pieces of poetry/prose pinned to the walls by various students.

These were 12 yr olds, I think, based on some of the students putting their grades levels on them.

I saw one that sort of made me really sad. I saw the word "loneliness" out of the corner of my eye and I stopped and read it.

I took a pic of it.

Yeah, no. I wish I could show you the sink in my old apartment. It was just one giant porcelain sink from 1929. Separate hot and cold taps. I loved it. Even if it would smash any glass that touched it.

As it turns out, I will have to replace the Formica countertops. I am trying to decide between white with a gray marble vein or a light gray/white stone look. I picked up paint samples and like them all the combinations with the Formica samples. I can't decide!!!!

Can we see?

I would like to strip the paint (of endless layers) from the cupboards, but am concerned about lead. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Are you doing them in place, or taking them down for this?

See what cell phones, the internet, and helicopter parents did to our kids?

That is sad.
