Home from another round of meetings. Home from another overnight stay. Hoping I'd be done for a while, nope. At least the next time around it is a day trip.
This year, I am "that" neighbor. You know the one. The one who hasn't raked yet. Until now. As soon as I got home from work (already starting to get dark), I started raking. I had 7 bags in less than an hour. I did stop to make dinner, but am back outside. I'm raking by the light of the street light. LOL. I'll stop when I get too tired or too cold.

So how does the chat thread work? Just natural flow of convo?
As for leaves, there's a 11 neighborhood kid that handed out flyers a couple weeks ago and is charging $10 per yard to rake leaves. I may just hire him and help him earn some pocket money
I'm done raking for the night. 14 bags in about 2 hours. The neighbor "kid" (he's in his 20s LOL) came out and stated that it was pretty dark to be raking and suggested that it wasn't safe. I had considered that, but realized if anyone approached me, I'd slap the rake in their hand and tell 'em to get moving. LOL
It IS a nice night out, but my knees were saying, "Enough already". Only half of the front yard is done. It will rain tomorrow, so the rest will be for the weekend. I may skip the backyard this year. It's fenced in, so the leaves should stay on my property.
meta, I agree with the kid but it sounds like you got a lot done and should be proud of all of your hard work with maybe a bit of stress relief thrown in just from focusing on the task at hand.
I am sure he is not however Raena you can always tell him you used it now to ensure it is in proper working order before the snow falls.
He doesn't have a job he knew he could of raked. He said watch for snow balls woman.
Lol I laughed.
