Assuming that he doesnt live with his parents, but he is renting or living with a roommate, how would you feel? I'm currently in this situation. I just recently bought an apartment after living with parents for many years. I still have my twin bed lol and now I'm looking for decent a queen bed, but overwhelmed by the options

Dont know if I should go with the cheaper option with wood slates/steel frame and mattress, or get a frame, box spring and mattress.

If you guys have queen beds, what would you recommend, full box spring set or the ones with wood slates or steel frame where you dont need a box spring, you just put the matress on the frame

Women love spacious beds with clean sheets and plenty of soft pillows.

Never compromise where you're laying down a woman.

Agreed! make that most women & varying pillow hardness/softness. Treat yourself as well OP, woman or not.

A twin bed is a little small if you're looking to share IMO.

Make sure you buy a decent mattress (I recommend memory foam). As for the frame, I bought a steel frame and it tends to get very squeaky

Steel frame? Like the one where you dont need a a box spring and put the mattress on top of it?

My fear is that it may be welded right or something, I found one on amazon with hundreds of reviews but some of them show that after months the welded arms start to fail, where did you get it?

I.keep reading bad reviews about these steel frames, I think im just gonna go with a box spring

Yeah that's the one. I bought mine cheap online. Nothing has fallen off yet or has gotten particularly frail but it gets really squeaky so I have to keep re-tightening it.

Think I would go for box spring as well if/when I buy a new one. Damn, I want to go bed frame shopping now LOL

A twin bed is barely okay for sex and definitely crowded for two to sleep on....so if your plan is "no sleepovers", you're fine.
