When I was in college I worked at a grocery store. I would sometimes flirt with customers and they would on occasion slip me their number. Not terribly often though.

It's easier in some ways working there because you could see the same person more than once. Frankly, it's tough to ask someone out cold after seeing them for five seconds. The downside is, no offense to anyone, I don't think most women are interested in asking out a clerk or stocker, unless he was like a 10 in hotness (which would never happen).
I once had a cashier in Home Depot flirt with me. A while later for some reason I told my friend about it, and she was like, "Eh. Bunch of hoes."
