Not just other countries. Mrs. NBP has very long hair which some of the younger girls at her school want to touch all the time.

Wife's beard? No.
Her hair is down to her waist. She is a fair skinned ginger. When we lived in Italy, the dark skinned and black hair locals would try to die their hair red, but apparently red die over black hair never looks right, and it changes the texture of the hair. My Dw's hair is bright orange and soft. Which contrasts with what the locals were able to get with their hair. So in any crowded space, like on a train, they would touch her hair.
I prefer to wear my beard a few inches below my nipples. So it gets attention from ladies whose 'men' only wear scratchy stubble.
This past Summer I had to attend a ceremony in dress uniform, so I had to trim my beard down to US Navy regs, for one day. It will be back to a responsible length soon.
