Cause some women are like that, or they want attention from you and make you pursuit them only to reject you. This is done for their ego.

Well I guess it’s mixed. If she was toying with me I assume she would be repulsed by me. She doesn’t cause she let me drink from her cup

Civilization is much younger than our biology. Toying with you implies some kind of predatory game. Not at all.
Men , as a whole, have a drive for multiple options, and women have a drive to keep multiple options open. Men tended to go missing back in the day . They came back with loses maybe from a battle , fell out of a tree , ran into a mother bear and so on.
If they bring you food they want you somewhere in their life. From what I have seen women just love to feed "their men" What exactly that is is either an option in reserve or her main option. She is not scheming.. To her it feels nice to do it...which will also feel nice to you. Sure, at the underlying level its transactional. However in a tough world these transactions are essential. Just don't ask them for any advice. They will lie to you to spare your feelings.
If so, all the more reason the OP needs to cultivate friendships, improve his/her social skills, and date outside of the workplace. ;-)
