When friends, family or even people on forum and blog sites trash your partner or loved ones and you say nothing, what does that say about you & how you feel about your partneer?
Do you think that it's disrespectful to your mate?
Is it better to correct them?

Which one? The saying nothing or the correcting??? I don't get it!
Yeah, who's correcting who? Too many pronouns it's too hard to follow!
IMO, if you talk about your family, friends, spouse, loved ones, what have you, on the Internet, it's "public property". Anyone is going to see it. That means, whatever is said is under public scrutiny.

Yeah, I think the OP is trying to be as vague as possible as not to divulge too much information. The problem is, we can't really follow what's going on! Maybe she can come back on and clarify some stuff!

That was only the 2nd post for the OP................do I smell a "T"? ha ha Sorry if I am wrong
Uh............. I'm sorry you had to see that. I would be very hurt if my SO(husband) would have done that. You have every right to be upset. WOW! That pretty much sums it up for me. By the way. I didn't reply to that thread and HAD previously been in there. (((Hugs)))
OK, I read some of it. The husband went on a forum, anonymously to seek advice. It's not like he typed out his name and his wife's name. From what I read in the first few posts, this is not anything he wouldn't have said out loud if he was speaking to a counselor.
