When I was 28 I was dating a woman that was 52.My Dad about had a fit.Things were good with us though.

But my Baby Sister was married to a guy that was 18 and she was 40.She became very ill and needed 24 hour Nursing care.We thought it was nice he was staying with her so long. Then he started treating her badly and bringing women in.She divorced him.

Well come to find out the Doctor told him she wouldn't live over 5 more years.Well she has lived alot longer. She is now in a Nursing Home and doing good as can be expected.

"Someone once suggested.....we should marry three times..."
Wow!
I hope I did not read that wrong!
To the OP:
I am not so sure if this is going to be a long term relationship or just the fun of it!
When he turn 30's and you will be 40ish, I am concerning if he still loves you the way he loves you right now!!!

If it just a casual thing probably fine.

If looking to get serious, I personally wouldn't go with that big of an age gap.

My SO is 5 yrs older that me and it seems to be OK.

It's not something I would do, but I have a 24 year old son who is dating a 35 year old woman with a child. They get along great and he loves the little girl (she's 4) like she's his own kid. This surprises me because when my son was growing up he liked to tease his little brother and make him cry. Now he's quite the opposite. Thank God!

I am 29, and I prefer to date older, and have for a long time. Women that are older tend to be more established and know what they want, as well as they don't like to party as much. Recently, I have mostly dated younger than me, and while some aspects are good, I miss having women that are more independent. When I was 22, I was dating someone that was upper 20's, almost 30, and that worked out amazing for a very long time.

Also, when I was about 25, I hooked up with a woman that I had known for a long time, that was in her early 40's, and boy, did she rock my world!

If both of them are comfortable and happy, what's the problem?

Girls this age tend to be more likeable. Now if it were a monster teen it's another story... They're hard to stand even if they're your own.

(though I'm amazed a 31 year old woman would want anything to with a kid that young)
It's not like a 31 year old woman is old enough to be the mother of a 22 year old man because it is only a 9 year difference. Do you know of any mothers who are only 9 years of age ?
