WOW! This thread got kind of twisted. I was assuming the two would know each other. Yes, there are a lot of twisted guys out there, but you know what ladies, there are also a lot of twisted ladies out there too (it goes both ways). Women are not the only ones who get into or go through bad relationships.

Still, I would like to thank everyone for responding, it is nice to know there are still some women who are adventurists, not of afraid of hard work and doing with out all the "stuff" that is associated with every day living, to attain long range goals.

No phones (maybe a short wave radio), internet is a must, so there would be satellite. Of course, there would be quads, snow machines to get around in the summer & winter, animals to take care of. It would be a hard life, but would have big rewards, as far a nature and such goes.

Note: Remote AK could be any place remote, doesn't have to be AK.

Just wondering if those type of women are still around and if you would, why?

Thanks for reading.
Sure I would! If it was Rance, and we were both single!

Totally depends on who the guy was.

If I loved him, yep. I'd do it.

For the right man, I'd go anywhere. So far I haven't met him yet.

Yeah, I'd go if it was just the two of us. I don't know about Alaska, though. It's cold enough here in Illinois.

Well this is an answer from a guy who's planning on moving to rural AK: to date, no woman I've met here (VT) has been interested in a second meeting after hearing about my plans...so single I remain.

Hmmm. Those women sound too soft and afraid of a little hard work. You're better off without them.

Here's the deal about where you're moving to in AK:

First perk: not living in the city.
Second perk: lots of space
Third perk: you get a cheque every year from the state.
Fourth perk: there are still jobs there.
Fifth perk: she gets to be with you

Screw the fact that there is snow and the weather gets a little nippy. Anybody from the Northern States or Canada would easily be able to handle whatever Alaska dished out.

Heck, I've convinced my wife to live on a sailboat with me for several years. I suppose that's the same cotton-picking thing. Except warmer.
