I'm female and 24. I have no desire to get married, now or ever, I don't want to be bound to someone else until I croak. If other people are happily married, that's great for them, but I could never be happy with it.
When I was younger I never wanted to get married
Until I starting dating a certain girl in my early 30's
If she wanted us to get married, I would have ran to the chapel not walked
Anyhow it didn't work out. Now I just turned 40 and as usual I'm loving my Independence and No I don't want to get married
But having said that I'm old enough to know that if the right girl came along my mind can be changed
I'm 47 and would definitely rather be married, providing I was with someone I wanted to be with for the rest of my life. (Found him once, but lost my chance. Now have to hope to find another someday.)
Late 20s, almost divorced, but yes- if I met the right one I would love to be married again. I've barely gotten back into the dating scene and I am tired of it already.
The question immediately reminded me of my mother's favorite anecdote centered on a woman she met very casually at a bus stop. After idly commenting on the weather, the woman turned to my mother and said in a very bored tone, "Well I was supposed to get married today but I just didn't feel like it ..."
lol How'd you find me?
Yes The pros definitely outweigh the cons....it's the process of getting there that kills me
