and to answer the OP

I haven't had an offer too good to refuse yet and I'm more than happy with the choices I've made.

Yes, I would be married today if I could. However, it would definitely have to be to the RIGHT person. I'd rather be single then settle down with someone who doesn't make me happy.

Female 32

Yes - Male 38

Marriage suits me and I know what it takes to have a good marriage. Obviously, it's not going to happen soon...maybe it never will....but it's definitely something I'm interested in.

Female, early 30s. I like being single and don't want to get married any time soon. I'm doing a fine job raising my son by myself.

You are right. Companionship is one thing, but commitment is another.......

Its so fummy to hear young women say with attitude they don't want to get married but I can't tell you how many I know who wished they were not so hung up on their idenity when they were young and grabbed Mr. Right. I guess thats the reason the good lord created a lot of cats.

I hear a lot of people say no, they are happy being single, raising thier kids etc. and I think that's great. However, if you find that right person...life is so much better, easier etc. there really is no comparison. (I suspect a lot of people have had the *bad* kinds of relationships and as such don't have a positive frame of reference)

For me, despite not currently dating, it's a worthy goal to try to perhaps find that again because I know what I'm missing. I hope I never get so jaded that I start thinking that what I have now is good enough.
