What it will take for this trend to truly take off and be more widely acceptable to American society, is to see this depicted more frequently in Hollywood movies, or for a late night talk show host to proudly wear a kilt or skirt one night on his show. Or show some of our sports heroes wearing one off the field. The more powerful and masculine the person, the better. Barrack Obama? How about it! It gets awfully hot there in DC in the summertime. And we're dying to see your legs, not just your smile!

I am a man who hasn't worn pants recently. Like years. Skirts are extremely comfortable especially if you are a male. A skirt on a man looks far less ridiculous than pants on a woman with those frequent "panty lines". Never could understand this kilt craze. A kilt is nothing more than a portion of an ethnic costume. Manly in a kilt? No. Stupid looking in a kilt without a bagpipe? Yes. Just wear a comfortable skirt & get on with your 21st Century life - unless your male head is stuck somewhere back in the 20th Century that the sun would never shine . . .
