Depending on the buddha you buy, they're supposed to bring prosperity and good luck.

This may sound strange, but it's absolutely true - my parents have a large buddha (at least 3 feet tall) in their living room. And a large bonsai tree!

My father did yoga, biofeedback, threw out all the sugar cereals of us kids back in the sixties. I guess that's why he's still going at 81.

Evidently this one wasn't. Just another example of Man's superiority, I guess.

Plus, I'd be a poor writer if I substituted man for Man...

...although, come to think of it, that's what a lot of women do...

Heehee!

Yes, these ones she brought back are about a foot high, too. I must admit, I don't know the differences between Buddhas that you seem to be referring to, but these were some biggies (to my untrained eyes). But, like I said, they made her happy, so I was happy for her!

I've finally begun yoga -- it's everything they said it was and more -- and, really, it sounds boring and wet blanket and stick-in-the-mud, but the food that was bought and sold to us, a long time ago, for the most part, is ****! Sigh. Off my high horse.

I need to try and fit in a yoga class. I think it would do me a world of good.
