So, at work yesterday, a very handsome salesman came to our dept. to work on a project he represents with his company. I didn't talk to him directly, but there were several moments of eye contact. I felt a little awkward, because I work in a medical setting and not always looking my best (I'm at work, after all!), but whatever.
He had been gone for a while, and I was working alone when I thought to myself, I should've given him my number, oh well! Then, out of the blue, his card appeared taped to the bulletin board, so I sent him a very short email asking if he'd be interested in meeting up for a drink.
I haven't heard from him yet, but I wonder if I should've done that? I figure what have I got to lose, the worst that could happen is he's not interested or has a gf/wife, etc.
any thoughts?
Welcome to the world of dating from a male's perspective....
that's kind of what I was thinking. I don't wear makeup or look very special at work, I maintain a professional appearance and wear a neat, clean uniform, but no makeup or anything.
So, I'm sure he would know that I would look good for the date!!

By the way, there are some of us guys who will accept a woman who is not looking her best. Yes we know women like to look their best for us, but I'd rather spend time with a woman who is being herself rather than trying to look her best and be perfect.
now that's what I'm not sure of, I mean, he could've just given the card to my boss, but for some reason, (unless she put it there), it was randomly on the board. Not really a place to advertise business cards, but our personal bulletins about work related topics, so I wonder if he put it there for me to find??? ok, I could be reaching, but wither way, I spent a little time looking for his info on the papers he left, but nothing, then lo and behold, I saw the card!

But was it taped to the board for you, or for some business purpose?

Whether he put it out there for you or for business purposes, its fair game because its in plain view of everyone.
thanks, I'll keep you all posted! I figure I'll give it a week, if I don't hear from him by then, then forget it.
I included my phone number in the email, so the "ball's" in his court! ha! ha! It's no big deal if I don't hear back. Lots of other handsome guys out there!
