So, at work yesterday, a very handsome salesman came to our dept. to work on a project he represents with his company. I didn't talk to him directly, but there were several moments of eye contact. I felt a little awkward, because I work in a medical setting and not always looking my best (I'm at work, after all!), but whatever.
He had been gone for a while, and I was working alone when I thought to myself, I should've given him my number, oh well! Then, out of the blue, his card appeared taped to the bulletin board, so I sent him a very short email asking if he'd be interested in meeting up for a drink.
I haven't heard from him yet, but I wonder if I should've done that? I figure what have I got to lose, the worst that could happen is he's not interested or has a gf/wife, etc.

any thoughts?

I like it! Good for you for being assertive! Hey, if he never calls so what, at least you put yourself out there. Go you!

Good move, you have nothing to lose. That's a definiton of assertive in my book. A lot of women would like to think that they are, but would never have balls to pull a thing like that.

Yeah that was perfectly fine. The worst he'll say is no thanks or sorry I have a gf or a wife. Personally if I was single and someone did that to me, I would accept.

By the way, there are some of us guys who will accept a woman who is not looking her best. Yes we know women like to look their best for us, but I'd rather spend time with a woman who is being herself rather than trying to look her best and be perfect.

But was it taped to the board for you, or for some business purpose?
