I believe it. I really do. We lived in one - I swear and it too was another huge old house my dad wanted to remodel. My own house isn't very far from that one (I could walk there) and the whole area is where famous Indian war battles took place (I live across the street) from the mounds that were built for this purpose and is now a park.
In between my house now and the one I lived in then was an old Orphanage built in the 1800's and was still active when I lived at home. Just recently they tore it down and were starting to build houses on the property and they found over 300 human bodies burried there - no caskets or markers that had been there for over 100 years. I think it explains the stuff in the old house and that house had a vibe the minute you walked into it - I threw a fit the night before we moved into it because I hated it.
I was telling my one aunt how I felt about it years and years later and she said, "I'm so glad you said that because I could feel it too - there was something in that house."
Wow, it wasn't an rest home at anytime was it? I know some older rest homes didnt mark bodies
One day I plan to have the money saved to buy the Amish quilt I've been drooling over for years. Do you ever go to Lancaster county?
I actually just moved out here two months ago from Wisconsin...but I did go to Lancaster Co shortly after I got here - spent the day out there. There were a bunch of murals in a couple of small towns, drove around there. Actually, I think that was a bit further east. Spent a little bit of time in Lancaster (city). Would like to go back there again once Spring rolls around. It's supposed to be a really nice area!

No, it was Indian war land and then a an orphanage with a lot of buildings and a school were built on it, but there was a huge grassy area between the street and the main building. The area also has the tunnels and houses that were part of the underground railroad, but the bodies pre date that

The Pennsylvania countryside is so beautiful! And the Amish farms are amazing - neat as a pin and like something out of an illustrated book

Wow, that kinda surprises me. I thought nothing was ever built over Indian burial grounds?
dang, the wind is really whipping up here and slowing my internet connection. I'm going to shut the computer down and head to bed.
'Night girls and boys, it's been fun!
