i think people in life would be happier if they didn't focus on what others do/think.
So somebody is happy all the time, big deal. Is it seriously impacting on your own life? Or is it something that pisses you off? Things **** me off, I deal with it.

Actually, yes. The constant fake cackling in the office DOES affect me.
I would say the key in some cases is a past and present of a stress free or low stress life and having enough time to do those things you enjoy and are are passionate in life. With that said though I think living a balanced life is equally important to obtaining true happiness.
Why should I "handle" it?! It bothers me, distracts me, and exhausts me. It's an office; not a hen house! They can do their fake "socializing" on their own time. I'm trying to do my work and I don't need the headache they cause me.
hmmm.... but others don't act to placate you, do they?
Why should they "appease" me...? All I'm asking is for them to act professionally and not cackle over my head. Not too much to ask for in an office, is it?!
