And young males as well.

Its refreshing to see that some men can understand what I am talking about. Sometimes I wonder if majority of guys are enjoying this while it lasts. Seeing **** and ass everywhere must kind of take away from its beauty.

It's a combination of media and parenting and peer pressure.
Parenting has to be a big part of it. The media doesn't help. If I had a daughter I would be weary of her watching most of whats on TV for teenagers to watch.

There was a thread a while back about this on the Parenting forum. It is sad what some parents will let their little girls wear. You would have thought sexualizing little girls would have gone out of style with Jon Benet' Ramsey's murder

It is unbelievable what I see young girls wear these days.

Over my dead body will my daughter wear the disgraceful shameful clothing that a lot of young girls are wearing.

I agree but let's think about this. Tell me really what good role models (public eye) these young girls really have.

I'm a mom and my kids are now young adults. I put my foot down on what they could wear often and they knew.

We as women have to up the ante - start feeling good about ourselves no matter how we look, what we have on our bodies and who we're with. Stay in school, get educated and put back what you learned into your community.

There are not many TV shows that expose a real positive feel for family life. These shows have become so politically correct, it seems stupid.

The reality shows - ugh - and I have watched them. Sometimes, I'm glad I grew up when I did and had my kids when I did - at least we watched shows like Growing Pains, Family Matters and had a Friday night TV time. I grew up on Lucy reruns, Brady Bunch, Partridge Family and some other good family shows. There was a lesson learned in the show or they were just funny.

Personally, I feel this country needs more movies like The Blind Side. I loved the movie and obviously, I'm not alone - it grossed over $208.5 million so far. It gives us hope.

I don't know about England, but here there's hardly anything else! The girls' department looks like Slu*ts-R-Us! And I'm talking about clothes in the 3-8 age range, never mind higher! I've seen padded bras! for girls this age!

I don't believe in completely shielding your kids from all bad media, you can't live in a bubble, that doesn't say that everything they see on TV is acceptable. Making the right choices builds self esteem for adulthood.
