My post stated that besides the obvious fact that young women these days dress somewhat floozy, that is not what I was talking about.
Even if you want to go there, why is it fashionable for women to exploit our bodies and not for men?
I am sure there are plenty of ladies who would like to go in to the office and see a male co-worker exposing some ball cleavage or dick neck. Maybe even a deep V-neck so we can check out the chest hair.
You go to your 'office' and take off your clothes for men so you are simply contributing to the enabling of men to view women as 'toys' and sex objects all the while complaining about others and get PO'd if someone looks at you. A little hypocritic don't you think. What you do is part of the problem your rant is about.
I'm female. Pre-teens with parents that let their girls walk out of the house this way.....need the oil changed in their brain.
My SO's brother and his wife have no "balls" for lack of a better term with their 16 yr old daughter. They way she talks to them and her snotty atitude and slutty way she dresses just floors me.
When ever there are family gatherings I do my best to not pay attention and try to ignore it.
Not my place to tell someone how to raise their kids, but unfortunately at 16 that ship has sailed. They're gonna turn a little creep like her out into the world and normal and sane people are stuck dealing with that shyt.

My posted stated that I did that for a year, and now I am currently not doing it. I could not go back, its the opposite of what I am all about.
I was paying medical bills, tuition, and supporting my neice.
When I was there I saw girls coming in as young as 18 saying "I told my parents I wanted to be a stripper when I grow up".
Not all of them are like that, but the new school is totally like that.
LOL at "Stepford Sluts". It's not just that they all wear such skimpy clothing, but that they all wear the same skimpy clothes.
Whatever happened to originality and creativity?
It is a little creepy. All of the new young "reality" stars look just like "porn stars" to me. How does one tell them apart these days???
I posted the same thing a few days ago, we where at a sports bar and the girl behind the bar was probably 23 or 24, big fake lips, big fake boobs, bleached out hair.
I'm like you couldn't pick her out of a lineup, if you know what I mean.
Wait till she comes home with an STD or better yet, a child they have to raise, and the girl goes MIA...... Yeah, what can you say and if you did you may be told MYOB.

How can we teach young women to have high self-esteem without having to exploit themselves?
Is it the medias fault?
I think it's a combination of media (society tends to worship all these young "celebrities" who dress and act like that) and of parents not flexing their parental muscles. It kinda makes me wonder why we burned our bras once upon a time when I see little girls walking around acting like that. But they are fed a continual diet of it, they see it on tv and in magazines, and then they all think that the rest of their peers are doing it and they are not, and on it goes.
We need to impress upon our daughters (and sons too) the importance of self-respect. Hopefully, most will grow out of it, but it does seem to be getting worse and worse. It's very sad, I think.
