There's a huge middle ground between fast food and a 5-star restaurant that you're completely missing.
Arby's? I even had coupons for that. That was the first place I went with my last girlfriend, and she's of the same FRUGAL mindset that I am. What we were eating didn't make any difference, it was about the connecting. It was who we were with, not what we had to eat. She rails about the prices at Taco Bell--thinks THAT'S too expensive.
And there was someone who posted in response that a date was supposed to be about having fun, not sitting in some sit-down stuffy restaurant on your best behavior. Loosen up, relax.
The Misogynistic Thread of the Day Award Goes to..........
Um...sorry...but I'm married and have two daughters (and a son). I also have a mother and a sister that I love, but that doesn't change the truth that many women are into men only for their money, power, and whatever the personal gain is for that women. That doesn't mean all women think this way, but many do. It's been that way since the caveman days.
That is not misogynistic...it's the truth. Sorry it hurts.

Many? I don't think it's many, I think it's a minority.
What men don't understand, poor men anyways (lol), is that status and financial security can be things that actually make a man more attractive. Just because a woman has a wealthy husband and that was one of the things that attracted her to him doesn't mean she doesn't love him.

PLEEEEAAAAAAASSSE, God, PLEASE tell me I am not the only one who saw that and laughed. Loudly.

Uh.....sorry what a poster on a message board writes doesn't hurt me. But I do get that you're too dimwitted to see the underlying point of the thread. Can't miss what you can't understand.
Before you are in a relationship, there's no reason to spend money on the other person.
Free dates are best.
I'm going to say this rationally and note hatefully, I really don't think there is such a thing as a free date, you have to spend money when you go out. If you try to take a girl on a "free date" it shows to her that you are cheap or infact just poor.
I don't date so often anymore as it has become too expensive for me. Every last date I have gone on I spent at least $50. And I pay cash on my dates that I get. It looks a lot better in a girl's eyes if you pay for the date with cold hard cash
