Fashion sense is subjective, so I can appreciate a guy, even if he's wearing something that wasn't particularly my taste.
The most important thing is that they care how they look and that what they are wearing actually fits, is appropriate for the occasion, isn't dated and is color-coordinated.
BTW, nothing ruins a good suit more than old scuffed shoes.
No matter what I wear, it is always clean (not at work) and matches in color coordination. BTW, I always polish my boots and shoes except for my junk work pairs.
i have come to realize that people "know" what they should wear, but dont for various reasons. dont have money, dont really care at that moment, are just down on their life at the moment....
Ah. The Sweater Vest. I firmly believe that it takes a certain type of guy to pull off a sweater vest and look great doing so. Body shape plays heavily into it. The swimmer's physique can pull of sweater vests.
It's the same with skinny jeans for girls. Ladies with hips don't fare so well with the jeans that strangle their ankles (and I'm one of them).
Seriously though, try on a three-piece suit just once and make sure women see you wearing it. I don't know what it is about that simple little vest/waistcoat, but it takes the suit up a few notches of sexy. Of course, this is assuming the suit is well-tailored to fit the man's body. Nothing looks worse than an ill-fitting suit.
I could never date a guy who looked like he dressed himself in the dark. I'm not really one for labels, but lack of fashion coordination is a big turn-off.
My husband made me appreciate well dressed men, but I tend to notice guys who are clean cut, but casual. (My head would turn for a man dressed like Mike Rowe from Dirty Jobs.)
There are men who put a lot of time and effort into their clothes and look and I'm completely turned off by them (e.g. the boys from The Jersey Shore.) I have a neighbor who puts a bit of thought into his outfits, but the problem is that it looks like he put too much thought into it. (He's into the whole preppy, golfing, country club look, but it just screams douche bag to me. )
And I definitely don't like it when a guy wears sports team paraphernalia. Blah.
I went out on a date with one guy and he wore sweatpants. That was a total turnoff...and our only date. He was rather tall (6'9"), but I know he owned black dress pants because I met him in them. In general, I find sweatpants on men a libido killer.
I don't care about fashion.
I'm an individual, I won't wear something else because somebody says I should.
I'm a jeans and t shirt guy. Maker of jeans is unimportant, as is maker of t shirt.
I wear what trainers I like the look of when I walk into the shop. Manufacturer is much less important than price.
Personally, I don't care what other people wear, unless they look a total state.
Ugh. Women should just wear 3" heels at all times.
