A herd of teen girls is NEVER attracted to non-traditional types. That'd be an oxymoron - their main goal is to fit in and agree on everything and anything because if their friends don't approve of their crushes that's the end of the world. In addition, there's nothing non-traditional about Leo DiCaprio. Many women fall for such sugary baby faces. It beats me why (I'm guessing it's more common among women with stronger or at least existing maternal instincts), but they sure do.

Now, if the teens were drooling over Lyle Lovett, that would be non-traditional!

DiCaprio just looked very young in his early movies as opposed to feminine and like every other young guy he eventually lost that boyish image but his acting has just gotten better and better. When I think of people who might be described as non-traditional I tend to consider their sense of style or behavior as opposed to facial or body characteristics. I don't know what a non-traditional face would even look like, maybe a Picasso painting? A non-traditional guy might be somebody who's a biker type with tattoos or maybe a long haired artistic type. I tend to be attracted to women who are artistic and intellectual although I wouldn't find glasses as thick as corningware lids to be very appealing. I also don't normally find conservative business types appealing either. I like a casual appearance much better.

Such things do happen. They happen to me, too.

I don't think so. This type ages really badly. He'll age like Paul McCartney - I love him, but he looks like an old lady, not an old guy.

Actually Keith Richards from the Rollings Stones is the poster boy for aging badly. I think Paul McCartney looks very good.

Unconventionality overall attracts me. Not just in appearance, either; I overall prefer people to whom the term "cookie cutter" could never be applied in any way.

I knew a kid in high school who's best friend was a tomboy. She definitely wasn't the girly-girl kind who get dressed, loved to shop or wear makeup. She also had the body of a 10 year old boy. People gave the guy a hard time, teasing him for hanging out with her, even suggesting that he secretly likes guys since he hangs out with a girl who looks like one. Last I heard, he married another tomboyish looking girl. I think they even have kids. I wonder if those same kids who made fun of him still think he's gay.
