Hey I don't do it all the time...sometimes just for shats and giggles. It is fun to see their reaction. Haha. There is this machine that builds your leg muscles which is good, however you pick a weight and sit on it, then spread your legs then bring them back together. My sister calls it the gyno chair. lol. I told her no dear that's on your back legs elevated. hahaha
No, get into a squat rack, throw a 25 lb plate on each side and bang out 20 reps. You'll be breathing hard as heck, but nothing would tone up the legs and backside faster. Ask somebody about proper form so you don't hurt yourself.
So it hurt your hip joints and you stayed on it? You realize pain is an indicator something is wrong?
When it hurt I stopped using it. I prefer the machine where you lay on your belly and put your feet under these pad things and you do curl ups with your legs.
OMG!!The E-30s are awesome!! I had a 325... It was just a regular model. It was black on black with black honeycomb rims with the silver around the lip.
I'm still SO in love with the E-36! I like the 90s boxy feel/look to it.
It sounds fun..but yes I agree with jsizzle its bad for you. The owner of the gym was telling me he is getting rid of a lot equipment that doesn't do a thing for you. He pointed out about 7 or 8 of them. So when peeps come in I see them using them. I try to tell some the other machines are better.

That's like digging a ditch with a spoon. You will get frustrated with a lack of results and give up before that will start working.
OK, I get that women are generally scared of the free weights. I've tried to get women over there and they just don't like it.
Try this:
Look up plyometrics. It's a series of sprints and jumps that you do without added weight. Example, you jump off a box that is 18 inches high, then immediately explode up and jump as high as you can. Or you run 40 yard dashes until you puke. Or J Cone drills. That's how tennis players build their thighs, and I"m assuming most girls like the looks of tennis players?
