We got married on the 21st anniversary of our first meeting. I guess we felt married almost as soon as we met and marriage though discussed before was never a big issue for us.
I think people who get married quickly for a couple of reasons.
Young (or immature) people - usually poor judgement --> usually ends in divorce.
Older people (30s+) - they know what they want, and there is no sense in wasting time.
Maybe this is a generalization, but it is my generalization.
Husband and I discussed marriage within 2 months, got engaged at 9 mos, got married at 1 yr 8 months. Now it's almost 3 years since we have known each other. Time will tell!
My parents dated for 2 months before my dad popped the question. They got married shortly after, and together had 6 biological children and 1 foster daughter. Their 42nd anniversary would have been this year, but my dad passed away 3 years ago
Wow, one would think that's more than enough time for all idiosyncrasies to rear their ugly heads. Comes to show it's a crapshoot...
