Ugh.. you would have to use him as an example.. Even though I am not originally from Texas.. I hate the fact that he is from Texas.. and I live in the state he is from.. but yes.. that is very distasteful...

And it is even more distasteful when winking during an interview.. or even at work.. there is no room for it.. and it can be misconstrued as sexual..

I winked at a guy once for doing a good job on his project. One week later we all had to attend a sexual harassment presentation in the office to learn about work etiquette

Being a woman, I can attest that even blowing my nose can be misconstrued as sexual!
In fact I am floored that so many see winking as exclusively sexual.

This may sound weird, and I don't know why I have this association, but I generally only think of older people when I think of winking. If I think about it. I haven't since...I don't know. I honestly don't know anyone who winks except for older people. And I'm 40 so that's saying a lot.

When I first read the title of this thread, I thought it was going to be a question about that meet-up site (is it match.com? eharmony?) where people "send" you "winks".

Oh Lord, she blew her nose - she's HOT for me!!!

I agree with Jerz's post - it's all about us old-timers, when a wink meant something special. Today, it's more than likely that the winker just has some environmental refuse in their eye...

I am only saying there are guys that take any cue and make it sexual. (Have you met my little friend, Hyperbole?) Let's face it, everything you know about me wouldn't fill a thimble so please lay off on twisting things I say. It is really unpleasant.

Not twisting what you said.. you said it.. making a point by using blowing noses.. hmm a little wierd if you ask me.. but that was your choice... I merely replied to it..
