Some people on this thread sound like they should join Westboro Baptist Church.

The things that are currently taking place in our world can be found in the book of Revelations..You should actually read it sometime..

Question avoided again. Try again.....

According to your Bible, your god's laws still operate and are binding forever. You agreed with that. Your god's laws say that you have to kill homosexuals and anyone that works on the Sabbath. So please tell us why you are not following your god's laws by killing homosexuals and people who work on the Sabbath.?

Even the verse you are thinking about in Romans 1:26,27 tells you that God gave them over to a reprobate mind. And because of this, men began having sex with other men. The Scripture tells you, this was a vile act. The act of men having sex with another man was considered evil. And that belief was also shown to us in Leviticus 20.
It most certainly is talking about temple prostitution. Hence, the surrounding passages that are all about pagan worship practices, like sacrificing children to Molech. Why are random gay passages thrown in a chapter about pagan worship rituals?

And do you completely ignore the clause "as with a woman"? How does a gay person have sex with a man as he does with a woman? Why did that verse not say "thou shalt not have consensual sex with another man". Obviously it's not all sexual practice that's banned, it's specific to the type that was done to a woman or in the place reserved for a woman. And how were woman treated back then? Submissive pieces of property to be forced and used however a man pleases.

That is why that clause is there - to distinguish consensual same-sex relations, with those common in paganism - where one man rapes another man like he does a woman. And since that culture was patriarchal, it was very very shameful for a man to be made submissive like a woman. That's why it was taboo.

3. There are other verses that are not found in the early Greek manuscrips, however such stories were quoted before those manuscrips were written. Much of the Bible was based on oral traditions. Papis an early church father speaks of the story of Jesus and the woman that was accused of many sins in 125 A.D. So naturally the story did exist. 17 of the 23 Old Latin manuscripts contain John 7-8 as well.
I take it you have evidence of this, or are you just randomly assuming?

And since you seem to think God made sure the Bible is inerrant, why did he fail to make sure some oral traditions weren't left out of the original manuscripts?

Sorry Campbell - your lack of Biblical understanding is very obvious. It's a waste of time to bother discussing this with you since you're too closed minded to admit you might be wrong.

As far as nature goes you are basically lowering the human species down to the level of animals now.
We are animals. Very intelligent animals, but biologically we are part of the animal kingdom.

And you should learn what it means some time. Revelation was about the persecution of Christians and Jews during the Roman Empire. The beast (616 is his number in the earliest manuscript, 666 in more popular literature) is Nero Caesar.

There is a Jewish Revelation older than the current revelation that is similar, but is far more clear as to the metaphorical attack on the Roman Empire that John was trying to get across.

The whole 4 horseman, armageddon scenario is Christian mythology. Revelation was not about the future, it was about the present and the corruption of Rome.

We are the smartest animal on the planet, but based on the status of our world and societies clearly not intelligent, much less very intelligent.
