thank you for sayin' that because Musilms do it also.
Muhammad slaughtered 1000s of Jews because they refused to believe in him. THe Bible teaches to hate what is evil and sinful, while the Koran teaches to hate Christians and Jews.
i'm gonna say this LOL. if you don't want to hear them, walk on by. i mean go the other way. there will by people who will want to hear about Christ. they will stop and listen, but like said if it's not your cup of tea, just walk on by. go on bout your shoppin'!
So you would be in favor of your service being interrupted by strangers giving out books like the god delusion, got it!
Why should the onus be on me to walk on by and/or ignore them? I go shopping to buy stuff and should not be expected to dodge irritating proselytizers of any form.
This would be akin to me setting up a stall selling what is in a shop behind me. The shop owners pay rent to conduct their business, you keep your business to your premises and no one is upset.
Thankfully here in SA this does not happen as there are laws preventing folk like you simply waltzing into a shopping mall and proselytizing and they are not allowed to enter your property. It is called trespassing and you can be arrested and fined. Billboards require permission from the local council etc. and they have to remove them after the time frame is expired or there is a fine.

The history of Christian hatred of Jews is appalling, and contributed to the murder of 6 million in the Nazi death camps. Jews were referred to as “Christ-killers” by the mobs that sought their lives, and Matthew 27:25 was used to justify this.

Around here, it's called Freedom of Speech. I don't know about where you are, but I'd personally hate to live someplace where everyone isn't free to say whatever they want and I certainly would not call prior censorship by the government "civilized."
It's a variation of that old phrase: "He who dies with the most toys wins!"
Here it is: "He who dies with the most souls saved gets to sit closer to the right hand of God."
But some people just have the personality to talk with probability as to whose subject is referred about. We save souls indirectly with or in spite of misgivings for the immediate person you come across. We may save someone indirectly somewhere else or by chance come for a surprising world at responsible results.

Freedom of speech is what we have here too however that freedom comes with provisos.
Free to do as you see fit however does not fall within that constitutional right.
See if a woo woo came up to me and said "are you saved?"
I reply, "from what?" They answer "from hell"
Bam, they have broken the law and have directly offended me. I simply have to call the mall cops and they are arrested.
The way it works here if they want to do their thing, they set up a stall with their wares of deceit and keep quiet, they are no allowed to play music as most malls have piped music. If anyone is interested, they can go buy some snake oil. If they in any way harass you, deliberately cut you off your path, to talk to you, they are breaking the law. Our right to privacy exceeds the bounds of our castles. They can of course offer you a pamphlet as yo pass by but no blocking your path. They are not even allowed to place flyers on your windscreen.
This of course applies to everyone, political, religious, spamming goods and wares or services. The only ones allowed to hand out flyers are shop owners and the cleaning up of tossed flyers is part of their rental. See that is how it works in a civil society. No one may enter the premises of a church and do anything of a similar nature like posting flyers of God probably does not exist etc.
Because of these laws, folk are limited in their actions wrt free speech.
One city had municipal (public) buses with xian ads and they were in breach of the law, the ads had to be removed. Folk can put up highway billboards for religion but they pay the same price as other advertisers and what they say, comes under the auspices of the advertising authority. If deemed in any way offensive, picks out any particular group, a complaint is lodged and next day it is gone. The folk selling ad space, are liable too.
Back in the day the woo woos were allowed to do pretty much as they pleased, you saw them at the airport, the train stations, malls etc. Now you hardly ever see them. This is in a society where 78% of folk still claim to be xian.
Mega churches like you have in the USA would be taxed here unless they can prove to benefit society that the public sector should have done. There is exemption with conditions. Churches are seen here as businesses/clubs and as such, income derived is taxable. If the church manages to show no profit is made, then there is obviously no tax due. They have to submit tax returns and can be audited. (read more here)
And guess what? The sky did not fall when these laws were instituted, they are fair to all and now the religious have to conform to the wishes of society as a whole and not simply their own biased preferences.
This is why gays here can marry, no one may say anything derogatory to them, elective abortions up to 20 weeks gestation are allowed and no one can tell any woman what to do with her body.
Prostitution is still illegal but the industry operates publicly under the guise of escort agencies that pay taxes.
Of course the religious challenged all these new laws in the constitutional court and lost.

But Algeria is different from that when it comes to the execution of their laws and practices. The laws were for the common practice of individuals who disagree.
Why do Christians feel they must win the whole world?
Because the opposite of winning is losing--and nobody likes to think of themselves as losing.
