Given that right-wingers prefer callous disregard for others and other antisocial behaviors, it isn't surprising for them to feel threatened by civic responsibility, consideration of those less fortunate in society, justice for the marginalized, etc. If it isn't about fostering greater comfort and luxury for the people they like, right-wingers hate it.

I think it is clear that citizens voicing their disapproval of a government official is a perfect example of the 1st amendment working. That's especially true when it is a government official showing a blatant misunderstanding of the parts of the law which apply to them doing their job.
But I guess we should ignore those facts because he has Jesus on his side which means he can do no wrong
