People who do recognize God approach the question another way. That is the conversation I am very much interested in.
Not wanting a specific type of conversation is a lot different than saying that atheists have no credibility and knowledge -- not to mention saying we have nothing to contribute, etc.

As I said to him before, his refusal to engage atheists in this discussion is the verbal equivalent of sticking one's fingers in his ears and screaming to avoid "hearing" anything we have to say.

Of course, it goes without saying that atheists are likely to respond in any event.

About the movie: "The Quarrel, taking place in the late 40's, is the story of two Jewish Holocaust survivors who have both lost their entire family during it. For one of them, the experience bolstered his faith in God, while in the other it killed whatever faith in God he had had left.

This film is about an afternoon spent together between them and their quarrel over their friendship and faith."
