Then by that account , every bit of ancient history is fictional with your logic.
A lot of it is. Gilgamesh may have been a real king, Troy may have been a real city, but the story is surely mythical. Jesus may bave been a real person, but the Gospel story demonstrably is dubious, too. Historians do get tempted to try to save bits of likely old stories to put in the History books...like the Hengist and Horsa story and Arthur of course. Thankfully, archaeology is giving a more factual picture of the post -Roman era so we don't have to rely on old stories. And the same is true of the Bible.

All you are doing is reinforcing my negative stereotypes about atheists. Gee look dad, another mocking condescending atheist! Yes son, they all tend to be that way, sadly.
What other response does 'You will burn eternally because you don't agree with me' deserve?
Of course you will deny this, but the proof is the in pudding. That proof is the relentless need to spend day after day harping and bashing, get this, Christians and the Bible and ONLY ONLY Christians and the Bible.
Not harping or bashing, just defending my stance. I can't hate a god, if I don't believe in deities. Note deities is plural, it don't believe in any gods, not just your Christian god. You shouldn't get so bent out of shape because we don't all share your religious beliefs.

Mat_24:20 "Now be praying that your flight may not be occurring in winter, nor yet on a sabbath,"

Plus any mention of a modern day term like "steam engine" would be meaningless gibberish to the millions of people who lived before steam engines became a reality. It would be like reading a book today that says in the future, everyone will have a tartrasdan for quadudal therapy.
You're familiar with that! Surprise!
