Really? Why do you suppose that God does not?

I think the heartburn is that no--God does not grant this faith to everyone. But instead of worrying about the natives in Africa who never heard of Jesus, what about your own soul? You can come to Jesus now if you repent and trust in him.
You keep talking about sin, WHAT IN THE WORLD ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?

If you want people to stop sinning, then OMG, give them a list of do's and don't and don't just come talking about sin in general, what is sin to you?

Why is your list of sin any more valid than the conscience of an Atheist? If you want to say that Jesus wrote the law in your heart, didn't he do this for Everyone?

WHERE IS YOUR LAW, WHAT SIN ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?

PLEASE, PLEASE, give these heathens a law to follow or don't even speak of sin.

Fundies are obsessed with sin. Because they know they are really pretty crappy people. Which is why they cling so desperately to the Magic Words To Jesus.

They believe they can continue to be crappy people because Jesus got nailed to a cross and made it A-Ok. Sort of. Ish. As long as they recite the MWTJ.

Fundies are a simple people.

You cannot explain what you don't have. If you want to experience the holy Spirit then you need to seek out Christ with the most sincere heart, soul and mind. When you find Christ, and receive the holy Spirit, then you will know what its like. But I can tell you right now its not an emotional knew jerk reaction to positive thinking. Maybe to the cults it is, but not to the orthodox Christians. Being an atheists and trying to figure it out through atheist psychology can never understand the holy Spirit. The experience goes beyond emotions. Its an experience of ultimate truth given by God.

So you have to believe before you can believe.

This is true. Since non believers do not subscribe to believers make believe world view, non believers are unable to share in the imaginary view of reality that believers share. The story of a corpse returning to life and subsequently flying away, for example. A claim which not only contradicts all common observation and experience, but defies all common sense. in other words, is perfectly silly. Non believers do not view reality through the eyes of make believe. And unless believers can establish some reasonable level of credibility, which is to say, establish that their claims are based on solid REASONABLE evidence and not just silly ancient stories and superstition, the expansion of non belief is going to continue to occur as the 21st century progresses.

That is just not how it works.

Nobody was ever indwelled with the power of the Holy spirit just cause they said Jesus, especially not people who teach against keeping the feast of Pentecost. When a person claims to have the Holy spirit, they are claiming that a disciple received it by keeping Pentecost, and then that disciple shared this power from hand to hand with other people who kept Pentecost, and now it has been handed from hand to hand over 2000 years until somebody put their hands on you. That is highly unlikely, that the Holy spirit was carried along in a church that didn't believe in Pentecost, and now it has been handed to you.

People had the spirit of God before Pentecost, and I am sure they have it now, but claiming to have the power of the holy spirit is done by millions, but none of them can actually display this claimed power.

I was answering a question. I'm sorry if the conversation offends you--I was just responding to someone else.
