Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. Those along the road are those who hear, then the devil comes, and takes away the word from their heart, that they may not believe and be saved. Those on the rock are they who, when they hear, receive the word with joy; but these have no root, who believe for a while, then fall away in time of temptation. That which fell among the thorns, these are those who have heard, and as they go on their way they are choked with cares, riches, and pleasures of life, and bring no fruit to maturity. That in the good ground, these are such as in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, hold it tightly, and produces fruit with patience.
It obviously has to do with our attitudes towards money. If people are giving away what they don't need, then I believe they are following the spirit of God. That is the basic message throughout the Bible. People would rather store up treasures on earth in storehouses where it does no one any good, whereas they could give it away to those in need, essentially building up the treasures in their hearts. It's a simple formula.

This is nonsense. Maybe you need to define what someone does not need. It is foolish to not prepare for future income, needs and wants. Is planning for these things storing treasures? These nonsensical interpretations is just another example of destructive religion.
The parable is subjective and can be interpreted for good or bad.
The Luke 8:5-8 parable is pretty clearly explained in Luke 8:11-15. Not sure what the question is.
I agree. The parable is explained. It is about (in a retrospective way) the sowing and growing of the Christian message. Those who listen will be saved; those who don't (or who later fall away, as in the analogy of the seed falling on rocky ground) will, in due course, be thrown in the garbage.

It was about the EARLY Christian message. There are lots of clues in the Bible as to what that message actually was. It was not the same as the Christian "message" we hear today. What we are hearing today is essentially the result of Pharisaical teachings which have infected religion.
Prepare to receive (wisdom, grace...) , do not let anything take it away or disturb it once received.

I agree - except that I hate hearing about sour comparisons between the sort of greedy and exploitative thing we see today and the "Pharisees" in the Bible. I think it is very, very, unfair and nasty about the Pharisees, who, in Jesus' time, were greatly beloved teachers (which is why the Paulinist Christians hated them so much) and the basis of modern Rabbinical Judaism.

I think it means you should use Capitals in your titles and at the start of sentences.

Yeah. That sounds like the nutshell explanation we received every year from our R.C. priest when this passage came up. It didn't seem that complicated way back those many decades ago.
