The church? The fact that our timeline goes from BC to AD? SOMETHING happened around year 0 to change the world.
Having said that, why would we want to disregard the Bible? It's a reasonable source. It's a collection of writings from different authors over a long period of time.
Personally, if you throw the OT in the trash, I can find a great deal of wisdom in the NT. But, that's not good enough for you. Either believe it all or go to hell. Right?

The NT explains the OT. The OT sets up the NT. They work together.
And you believe that? You believe the word of a young teenager? But you won't believe the dozens of authors over centuries that wrote the Bible?
1. I believe Joseph Smith was about 18 when he received the Golden Plates.
2. When did Jesus become aware that he was the son of god? According to Billy Graham: https://billygraham.org/answer/when-...feel-that-way/
3. Oh...so the bible was written over many centuries and is, therefore, not an historical record.
4. Who said I believed in Mormonism? Even though I'm from Palmyra. I'm pointing out that you are totally skeptical of their religion, but you don't think we should be totally skeptical of yours. Hypocrite.
But what IS my religion? You've never met me. You have no clue what church I go to.
Funny. When I go into a book store, all the bibles are one book. If you want to call them chapters, that's fine.
