Good morning, ptsum and goodpasture, and all who visit the sacred circle.
With summer coming, the time for intertribal gatherings is upon us.
Fullback, I dreamed I was going to a gourd dance last night. In my dream I had a non-NDN friend with me who would be gourd dancing for the first time. He had a shield in his left hand.
It was a good dream walking around the circle and seeing all the tribal elders and the family's gathering with so much happiness in the air.

Hey there haits! Sounds like a goot dream. Man, I'm hoping to get home to OK this year. It would be nice to gourd dance again with family and friends. These dances here in Colorado are okay, but nothing like back home. At least there is a southern drum at some of these dances. Andy Cozad lives up there in Denver and his drum, Waterbird, shows up at some of the dances. I'm glad because I get tired of dancing to Northern!
Aren't the Comanche the retarded cousins of the Kiowa? Seems I heard that somewhere.
It might seem that way, but sometimes we have to speak VERY slowly and use simple words so folks from the Eastern Nations can keep up and understand. It's all for their benefit.

Those prairie ndns get their brains so fried from the sun, they speak slowly cause its hard to make a head thats hurtin focus on whats in front of them. Thats why they grunt so much...........
While the rest of us sit quietly on the sidelines and hope the drums don't start talking.
Naah, just some friendly banter .....
