No I had a lease my first year here (2014); but after that my landlord never asked me to renew so I’ve been month to month ever since.

You DO have a lease...it happens to be month to month. If you haven't gotten a revision, the terms (such as noise, quiet hours, your responsibilities as a tenant) are probably still the same. Have you considered earplugs? Talk to your landlord. What about checking with other residents to see if they also hear it? If so, that might convince management that the system is too loud.

Yes, the OP does have a lease. OP read your lease and see what it says about noise.

Earplugs don’t block the bass on surround sound systems

So after my note, I again heard the loud music today. Sounded even louder actually. So obviously they are jerks.

I called management but they were closed. So I spoke to the super, who went and talked to them for me...and they agreed to turn it down. The super is going to document the complaint with management and told me to call him if it happens again.

The condo bylaws states no disturbing noises but I’m not sure if that means only after a certain time..

You should have a copy of those by laws.. if you don’t ask your landlord for a copy

You should read it again because I doubt it is "vague" about loud noise.

In my city, you can make all the loud noise you want between 7:00 am - 10:00 pm. Quiet hours are 10pm to 7am.

Check your lease.
