Just finished watching/listening to the court hearing of the man who shot and killed two young men at a restaurant in Syracuse, NY. Victims' families/friends had a chance to talk about their losses. The murder happened this past September as the men were cleaning and closing the place for the night. The murderer was a former employee who had lost his job.

I can't even imagine the pain all the survivors are feeling, and no doubt will feel for the rest of their lives.

So senseless.

And today another murder in Syracuse. A boyfriend shot and killed his girlfriend in their apartment.

Again, so senseless.

I really don't understand what's gotten into people lately. So much senseless violence.

I admit I've been clueless the prior two years, so I didn't file an AZ return. Not enough income and too much hassle to get the $25 refund for over 65.

Friday evening my neighbor told me that she's getting a refund of several hundred dollars for property tax credit. So, this morning I spoke with our apartment complex manager, and she gave me the form I needed to make this claim. Seems a portion of our monthly rent is considered as paying property taxes. Thought I could efile but found out, it had to be a paper return. Filled out the forms and hurried to the Post Office to get it mailed. Yes, several hundred dollar refund *does happy dance*

Wish I could file for the prior two years, but that isn't accepted.

What usually gets us is state taxes. Since I don't get Nebraska income tax withheld from my ss and kpers . Plus my wife has some self-employment income.

SO last night I dreamed I was asleep and woke up to see Mr Death standing over me. He reached out and said because of the partying, drinking, drugs random sex your time has come, and said someone else's name. I said wait no, I'm....and he stopped said oh um...got out this huge book and said an address, nope wrong house. Oh sorry, well let's see about you (kinda sounded like John Cleese from Monty Python btw), oh wow you really have a boring life...I mean wow. Ok again sorry, really sorry, see you in 30 years and vanished.

Jim, there's got to be something in either the water or the air for you to have those really strange dreams.

Wow. I went to the current events forum and found out Notre Dame was on fire yesterday. Thankfully only the roof was burned, although it will still take millions to rebuild it. France's president has vowed to rebuild it and some of the wealthiest families and businesses have already put forth substantial donations.

Can't be the water because I don't drink the tap water here, only bottled water, no one drinks the tap water here. The air? Full of dust, so who knows. At least my dreams are entertaining.

They sure are. I seldom remember what I have dreamed. When I do, they're pretty boring or I will sometimes dream my brother and I are together again. That's always nice because he left us way too early due to heart trouble. I always said up happy after dreaming of him.
