Twenty? No! But 23? Yes! It's when I returned from 22 months overseas (1969) and I would do a lot of things very differently beginning with not marrying my first wife. Rather, I'd have purchased an Indian (that's a brand) motorcycle and with my accrued savings, taken off on a cross-country, around and about, wherever the winds blew me, half year at least trip to decide where I wished to land and taken it from there.

My Grandmother used to say the same thing. 90 year old Granny: Sorry, I'm busy today. Going down to the old folks home to volunteer!

This.

And furthermore when you see them acting so unprofessionally you correct them just like a parent. And worse yet, instead of responding like an adult they respond to you like your children!

Yep, that's a sign of age - better to keep that in check.

About 60 - 62. Days with aches and pains outnumbered days without aches and pains. As of about age 62 the very thought of a date makes me throw up. Almost never went a week without one prior to that time.

Okay, just thought of something. Happened when I retired and moved back home from my last military base. I started attending school board and city council meetings with some older relatives. Then I realized I was in danger of becoming one of those busy body old ladies that I couldn't stand. Not that attending those things are bad, just that the people I was going with tend to hate everything. Didn't want to be like that, so I stopped going. Eight years later and they are whining about the same things.
