I'd like to ask you, is there anyway someone in Southern Arizona can get medical care in Mexico? I'm not at Medicare age yet and due to the changes in health care laws I might loose my health insurance. NOT going to talk about that. lol. But my fix is I'm trying to figure out how to find medical care in Mexico. I live near Tucson so how would I start to go about doing that. Any advice???
There are 2 public health care programs in MX. Seguro Popular is free. IMSS has premiums based on age (at age 60, it's a little over 300 USD equivalent per year).

Expats can join either program once they have the MXN equivalent of a green card (Residente Permanente).

For routine care, there are private medical practices and many expats pay out of pocket. Last office visits we had were 250 pesos and 200 pesos (about 10 to 15 USD).

I for one welcome all the expats stories of their locations because it opens a window for myself to look into and decide whether it might be worthwhile for me to look into that location.
Nailed it, perfectly summed up.

Beach Sportsfan will be here every Thursday folks, which happens to be lamb chops night!
