We are stuck with spouses and relatives.

We admire "stars" who make us feel what we are feeling, resonate with us, make us feel good or commiserate with our sadness.
Or just give us entertainment to slip away, even for a brief moment, from our own complicated lives.

I have always related life to music, because songs of old, at least, speak to us. They tell our stories, good bad, indifferent.

Ever been in a situation where "I want you, I need you, but there ain't no way I'm ever gonna love you..."??
That may have been the spouse you seem to claim some hate, but it really IS perhaps a part of life.

Just like another songs lyrics: 'aint it sad to belong to someone else when the right one comes along...'

Yes, people are born, and people will die, and as I said before, still the earth keeps on turning.

But for a brief moment in our own history, certain people made an impression on us.

Others, no matter how close, maybe not so much.

Best

In an interview, he said 'i always gave 110%. When I die, I will know I always gave everything I had, my very best'.

He also said, quite humbly, 'im not a star, I'm not an icon...(and more), (and on to say) no one will ever convince me of that'.

A real magnificent man, even if he disagrees.

RIP, sing with the angels!

That's because celebs bring us nothing but joy. My sister-in-law on the other hand ...
And death is a big deal when it's personal. At least with the stars, we can still enjoy their work.

Unlike so many pop and rock stars, Meatloaf could really sing.

Maybe if he was not a vocal anti-vaxxer he would still be alive, or just sick with cold-like symptoms if he was vaxxed.

The reports now are he died from Covid. Being over-weight and unhealthy is no way to go thru life, esp. now.

I'm not sure what he died of. The newspaper this morning says undetermined causes at this point. Never mentions covid as even a possible cause yet.

Wow...just wow!!

They first came for the dead unvaxed and I either cheered or said nothing because I was vaxed and FOLLOWing the DECREES. Then they came for the sick unvaxed and mocked them and I either cheered or said nothing because I was FOLLOWING the Government DECREE and didn't want to be CANCELED. Then the GOVERNMENT distributed health care based on RACE, I said nothing for fear for being called a racist. Eventually the Government (and leftist mob) came for me as I wasn't the perfectly woke thinking citizen and no one was left to defend me.

You ever wonder how despotic socialist societies develop?

Is this really the USA you want to LIVE in?
